Escrow is money held by a neutral third party, showing the buyer has "skin in the game." This deposit demonstrates their commitment and good faith. Funds are held in escrow and revert to the buyer unless a Purchase and Sale Contract is signed — at which point the transaction moves toward closing.
The finish line. Title is transferred, the deed is recorded at the Registry of Deeds, and the sale is complete. Congratulations — you've sold your home!
